You cure your feet when you have a headache is barking up the wrong tree.

*steal the spotlight 搶風頭

Sara was crying very loud to stealing the spotlight. She always wants to be the center of attention.

*herb mentality 從眾

Taiwanese is famous on her herb mentality. Especially the society generation.

Corgis can herb the lambs together.

*survival of the fittest適者生存

I don't agree about survival of the fittest. Jesus said that we should help people who weaker than us. 

*dog-eat-dog人吃人的世界

Sara's company is full of competitive atmosphere. There are many dog-eat-dog events happen between his colleagues and her. 

*you make a great teacher  幹得漂亮

Try to encourage others like " you are a great host". 

*a good fit for 很合適

The job is a good fit for you.

*in purpose 刻意的

Do on help people in purpose.

*need a lot affection 大量關愛

Thanks for your  numerous affection.

*high-strung 容易興奮

Be careful and do not stand too closed . This horse is high-strung.

*temperament 性格

Which is the most important thing for choosing a companion? Character or temperament.

*bleed 養

My uncle bleeds cattle and horses in his farm. 

*hanging by thread 命懸一線

I was hanging by thread when that situation happened.

*obstacle 障礙

Sometimes our largest obstacle to be success is ourselves. 

*to set out on a journey 

Do not doubt when the calling comes. Hit the road and set out on a journey. 

*potion / elixir 靈單妙藥

There is no elixir or potion to keep you healthy if you do not exercise regularly.  

 *encounter

I encountered my elementary classmate today.

*vow 誓言

Your promise sounds like a joke. Vow please

*to stumble upon 意外發現

I stumble upon this book when I go around the night market.

*to spare no effort 不遺餘力

You have promised that you would help me to spare no effort, but you don't. 

*to go to great lengths to 付出極大代價

I go to great lengths to play a good  peace maker.
